Join us for the 3rd Thursday Education Series on March 19 as we welcome Robbie Gorman to discuss building a nonprofit business strategy.

Some of the most consequential strategic decisions in nonprofits and philanthropy happen at the intersection of mission and money.

March’s session is designed to help participants examine the relationship between mission and revenue strategy, and evaluate to identify where revenue decisions may be strengthening or straining their purpose.

This session is designed for development and program staff in nonprofits and foundations. Participants will leave with practical frameworks they can apply immediately to assess mission and money alignment, name where revenue is reinforcing the mission and where it is pulling against it, and make resourcing decisions with greater clarity.

Here are three learning objectives. Following the session, participants will be able to:

Articulate what mission-aligned revenue looks like in practice, including the tradeoffs organizations face when balancing impact goals and resource constraints.

Apply an assessment framework to map revenue choices against mission priorities and identify specific areas of alignment and tension

- Develop practical next steps for improving alignment, including a plan to communicate implications, trade offs, and priorities across internal teams and stakeholders.
